Mikal Jakubal, Director

Mikal Jakubal has lived in Humboldt County for nearly 20 years and is a frequent commentator on issues related to marijuana cultivation and the environment. This is his first film.

He is also in production on a documentary about the history and restoration of the Quaker anti-nuclear protest boat Golden Rule. He has two multimedia web documentaries in progress: one on the phenomenon of migrant marijuana trimmers and the other on people who get busted transporting California marijuana across the country.

He is on Twitter @mikaljakubal and periodically writes random stories about roadtrips, activism and life in Humboldt at his personal blog  Civilized Disobedience.
